The venue has moved inside due to weather forecasts for Ann Romney, former first lady of Massachusetts and wife of Sen. Mitt Romney, who will speak at the Intermountain Health Heber Valley Hospital’s Ladies Night Out event, on Wednesday, Oct. 11, at 6 p.m. at Heber Valley Hospital, 454 East Medical Way, Heber City.
She will share her story during a fireside chat from 6-6:45 p.m., reflecting on her health challenges with multiple sclerosis, early-stage breast cancer, and will speak about how health challenges affect mental health and how women can take charge of their own health. The event will be inside the hospital on 1500 South.
Utah’s Heber Valley is where she rediscovered her love of horses, and she wants to give back to the community of Heber and the women who call it home, she said. After her remarks until 8 p.m., there will refreshments and a women’s health fair with information and education about women’s health.
The women’s health fair will include several booths, including:
- The ability to schedule a mammogram, and breast care information
- Women’s heart health information
- Labor and delivery options
- Pelvic floor physical therapy education
- On-site nutrition consultations
- Mental health awareness with Wasatch Behavioral Health
- Skin cancer screening information
