Last Saturday’s letter on the Conservative Climate Conference mentioned several topics: solar, wind, batteries, EVs, hydrogen, etc. But I fail to see how anyone can really be serious about man-made impacts on climate without addressing (gasp!) nuclear energy. With advances in technology, nuclear energy production does not have nearly the footprint or wildlife impact of wind farms, the storage problems of wind and solar, or the mining and processing impacts of materials used in batteries. Let’s press on all technological fronts, but the most promising and nearest term energy source to replace fossil fuels is nuclear. Go to Warp Speed, Mr. Scott!
