Mountain Meditation Center is on a mission to “offer restorative justice and other training to help individuals, organizations, schools, and businesses within Summit and Wasatch Counties,” according to it website. As part of this effort, the nonprofit is partnering with the Park City Bar Association to offer four free clinics for residents of Summit and Wasatch Counties dedicated to educating attendees on eviction expungement.
A new law passed during the 2022 Utah Legislature session “creates a process for tenants who have been evicted to erase evictions from state records,” MMC says in a press release. These clinics are designed to help residents take advantage of this opportunity.
To start the four-class series, two clinics will be held at the Christian Center of Park City on Friday, Aug. 25 from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 26 from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Interested attendees must first register using this form to find out if their case is eligible for assistance.
The other two clinics will be held in October, at the Wasatch County Library on Friday, Oct. 6 from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 7 from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Registration is also required for those events.
