One man was killed and another air-lifted to a hospital after a situation involving a stabbing and shooting Monday at about 6:30 p.m. in Midway at Swiss Mountain Estates.
According to a Tuesday evening press release from the Wasatch County Sherriff’s Office, initial reports indicated a 25-year-old man stabbed his 53-year-old father several times. Multiple 911 callers, the release continues, said the father defended himself with a firearm.
“The 25-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene,” the release states. “(The 53-year-old) underwent surgery and is listed in stable condition.”
Officials have not released the names of the individuals involved, saying there is “an active investigation.”
The release also states “there are no ongoing threats or safety concerns to the public.”
