The Kimball Arts Festival returned to Main Street from Aug. 4-6. Banners hung on lampposts and over the bridge on Main reminding visitors that “art matters.”

The 54th annual Kimball Arts Festival took over Main Street last weekend for a talent-filled, family-friendly event. From Park City locals like painter and ceramicist Kati Gyulassy, to East Coast visitors like Signe & Genna Grushovenko, talented creatives came together to celebrate the festival’s mantra: “Art Matters.”

With almost 200 artists featured in booths on Main, festival goers were wowed by a wide variety of mediums which included textiles, jewelry, photography, ceramics, painting, glass work, embroidery, beading, sculpture and more.

On Saturday evening, the festival announced its jury-selected Best of Show winners, leaving time for shoppers to check out their work on Sunday. Winning Local Artist Best in Show, Kati Gyulassy’s paintings and ceramics feature landscapes and earth-toned pieces. The full list of winners is listed below:

At the bottom of Main Street for the Kimball Arts Festival, Park City-based artist Kali Gyulassy’s booth was first to invite visitors, with an earth-toned pallet for paintings and ceramics reminiscent of winters in Park City.
