Betsy Wallace, a well-known Parkite, on Wednesday morning announced her decision to apparently end her bid for a seat on the Park City Council.
“I find my life has become significantly more unbalanced than I anticipated,” Wallace said in a press release by way of explanation for terminating the effort. “With that in mind, I have made the decision to suspend my campaign for city council so I can regain some semblance of normalcy.”
Wallace went on to say that she will “continue to remain active in town but at a much more manageable pace.”
Wallace also said she return any campaign donations “as soon as possible.”
Wallace had been campaigning in advance of the Sept. 5 City Council primary election. Her withdrawal now leaves eight candidates vying for three council seats.
