Caamp performs at an outdoor venue during last year’s Lavender Days tour. The band will bring its folk/indie tunes to Park City’s Snow Park Amphitheater on Sunday July 16.

Deer Valley’s Snow Park Amphitheater boasts an impressively packed schedule this summer, taking full advantage of warmer temps. Of the many talents gracing this mountain town stage, the indie folk band Caamp promises a fun-filled evening on Sunday (July 16).

During their previous visit to Utah, Caamp performed at Red Butte Gardens Amphitheatere for last year’s summer concert series. With a series of mountain-town stops on Caamp’s 2023 Tour, they will travel from Whitefish, Montana for a night in Park City, before heading out to Vail, Colorado.

Originally from Athens, Ohio, this band has garnered a loyal following over the years, all the more strengthened by continuously fantastic album releases. From their debut album “Caamp” to their most recent release “Lavender Days,” the band has dialed in their sound and chemistry. Taylor Meier (lead vocals), Evan Westfall (lead guitar), Matt Vinson (bass) and Joseph Kavalec (keys) have proven themselves as talented musicians and performers, with bulked-up tours scheduled every year.

As their listeners and discography grow, songs like “Vagabond” and “All the Debts I Owe” off their first, 2016 release still rank Top 5 listened. Walking that fine line between consistency and originality, Meier’s lyrics explore themes of family, love, adventure and adolescence. Interweaving whimsy with nostalgia, Caamp’s music invites listeners to sing along and dance, from originals like “Ohio” and “Misty” as well as newer songs like “Come With Me Now” and “Fever.”

This year, Caamp’s show will be opened by Portland, Oregon-based band Fruition, a five-piece folk/rock group.

Tickets for this all-ages show are still available here. Prices vary: GA lawn seats start at $85 with GA floor seats starting at $250.

Gates open at 5 p.m., with the show scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. General admission guests are encouraged to bring blankets or low-set camp chairs.
