Green onions, garlic stalks, mint and cilantro are stacked in bunches at the Madsnacks Produce booth for Wednesday morning’s Park City Farmers Market. This is the Goodman family’s sixth year at the market.

Madsnacks Produce’s booth at this morning’s Park City Farmers Market boasted every shade of green. Its offerings included microgreens, garlic, bok choy, green onion, cilantro, radish, lettuce, chard, broccoli, mint and more, accepting cash or venmo payments.

This marks Madsnacks’ sixth year at the Park City Wednesday market.

Just a 15-minute drive from the Park City Farmers Market, the Madsnacks Produce farm is nestled along the Weber River in Oakley.

Moving from Salt Lake City to the farm in Oakley was the perfect change for owner Madison Goodman and his family: “It feels like a perpetual summer camp, it’s great,” he says at his family’s booth Wednesday morning.

As their website says, these goods are “mountain grown, nutrient dense,” grown entirely without the use of herbicides or fungicides. Instead, their website explains their strategy for enriching the soil with the combined methods of “compost teas, biodynamic preparations, cover cropping, no-till practices and planting with the rhythms of the earth.”
