Bragging rights and a shot at the 5A girls lacrosse state title game was on the line for two Wasatch back rivals Tuesday night, the PCHS Miners vs the Wasatch Wasps. The first half was closer than expected with the halftime score of 5-3 in favor of the Miners. In the second half it was a different game where the Miners ramped up the intensity and took charge by scoring 10 more goals and beating the Heber City team 15-4. Next-up the championship game Thursday at Zions Bank Stadium. The Park City High School Miners girls lacrosse team faced the Wasatch Wasps in the 5A semifinal match on Tuesday at Westminster College — and the Miners came through like champs, downing the Wasps 15-4. They will go on to play for the title on Thursday at Zions Bank Stadium, scheduled for 8 p.m., when they’ll face the Olympus Titans in a rematch of last year’s title game (which the Titans won).
