Randy (Brandy) D Allen

August 21, 1964 – November 28, 2022

Randy Allen known to most as Brandy or quite simply “Mom” was born to Carla J. Rezabek in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on August 21st 1964. She was the oldest of her siblings and grew up being their second mom. Brandy had two sisters Dawna and Betty, and her baby brother Kevin. They spent most of their childhood following the oil patch through Wyoming, Utah, Oklahoma, and Missouri. Brandy graduated from Natrona High in Casper Wyoming. Shortly after graduating the family settled down in Evanston Wyoming.
It was While living in Evanston that she met her soon to be husband Dwight (David) Allen. They were married on June 8th 1985 on the banks of the bear river in the High Uinta mountains. After a few years of moving around for work they finally settled down in Coalville Utah, where they lived for 10 years, before moving to Morgan Utah where Brandy lived for the last few years of her life.
Brandy loved helping people, she was always the first one to share a smile or offer a hug to those that were hurting. She raised her 4 kids to know that they were special and that they could make a difference in the world. She did this by example. She only had 4 kids of her own but hundreds of kids that called her mom, even after they became adults. She was an avid supporter of the local Girls/Boy Scouts troop, and she led the local arts kid’s group for many years. Helping many struggling kids to find a place that they felt safe to be themselves. Her door was always open, and the fridge was always full. She would always say I don’t have much but I have an ear to listen, a plate of food to fill your belly, and a couch for you to sleep on.
When Brandy first moved to Coalville she started working at Key drug and worked there until their closing. Brandy then spent several years working and finally managing the Echo information center on I-80 west bound in Echo canyon. She spent long days year-round helping tourist and locals find there way to all the exciting places that Utah has to offer. She loved to talk to these visitors and find out their stories. The further away that they had traveled the better. She was always excited to hear about the far away places that she knew she would never be able to see herself. After the information center was sold, Brandy went to work cashiering, she spent her remaining years working various jobs in Morgan, Mountain Green, and Coalville. She enjoyed working in the small-town setting where she could learn about her regulars and get to know them a little bit.
Brandy was diagnosed with stage 4 liver failure in April of this year, she was a stubborn woman and had worked right up to when she had to be admitted to the hospital. She was initially not expected to live more than a few weeks but being the stubborn woman, she was she fought through it and got better then anyone would have expected her to. She managed to stay with us long enough to meet her newest grandson and spend almost 2 months loving on him before the battle took a different path. She passed in the hospital surrounded by all her kids, birth and adopted, her remaining sister and her long-time best friend.
Brandy was Preceded in death by her Mother Carla, her stepdad Charles, her baby brother Kevin, and just by one month her sister Betty. She is survived by her sister Dawna (Scott) Van Otten. Her ex-spouse Dwight (Raquel) Allen. Her kids Joshua Allen, Nicholas (Arianna) Allen, Kelsey (Shawn) Kegerreis, And Destiny Allen. Her Grandkids, Dakota, Matthew, Austin, Tyler, Dezire, Dalton, Izzibelle, Hunter, Mckenna, Corbin, Dallas, Stetson, and newest Ruger. She lived her life for her kids and grandkids and through them her legacy will continue.
Brandy hated funerals and hated sad celebrations of life. So per her wishes brandy will be cremated and laid to rest next to her mom. There will be a celebration of life in true Brandy fashion held in the springtime. Brandy loved Easter and tried to hold a massive egg hunt for anyone that wanted to come, these egg hunts never landed on Easter and so neither will her celebration. But all that loved her or knew her will be welcome to come out. In lieu of flowers and in remembrance please honor her by making a donation to any charitable organization that helps kids. St Jude’s children’s hospital, Ronald McDonald house, or the Muscular Dystrophy Association are all good organizations that will put your donation towards helping those that need it.
