The Park City Police Department last week received an unusual report of someone striking a truck that had a bumper and materials in the path of the person.
On Friday, Oct. 21 at 6:25 p.m., the Police Department received a complaint about a truck that was left in the area of the intersection of Sidewinder Drive and Comstock Drive, close to a pedestrian and bicyclist route. The truck had “its rear bumper & metal scaffolding hanging out” and the person who contacted the police “hit his head,” according to department logs. The person did not require medical treatment, the police said.
It was not clear from the logs whether the person was walking or bicycling.
The Police Department described the case as a parking problem.

On Sunday, Oct. 23 at 9:06 p.m., a driver became stuck along S.R. 224. The police assisted the person.
A driver locked their keys in the vehicle at a Park Avenue business at 4:14 p.m.
A vehicle was left “in the middle of the road” in the area of the intersection of Main Street and 4th Street at 2:34 p.m.
The police at 1:30 p.m. received a report of noises that sounded like gunshots in the area of Kearns Boulevard. There were a “bunch” of the noises, the police were told. The department indicated the circumstances were suspicious.
A natural gas line was “blowing” at or close to the intersection of Park Avenue and Homestake Road at 10:58 a.m. Public police logs described the case as a utility issue, but they did not provide details.
The police at 3:09 a.m. received a complaint from a Park Avenue hotel about people who were “very loud and keeping them up for over an hour.” The police logged the case as suspected disturbing the peace.
A case described as suspected disorderly conduct was reported on Main Street at 1:15 a.m. Public police logs did not provide details.
On Saturday, Oct. 22 at 11:51 p.m., the police were called to a location somewhere along Lowell Avenue to respond to a noise complaint. The police were told there was “very loud music and yelling.” The department logged the case as suspected disturbing the peace.
A suspected drunken driving case was reported at 9:59 p.m. in a location described as the Deer Valley roundabout. It was not clear from public police logs whether the location referred to the Old Town roundabout. The logs did not provide details about the case.
A vehicle ran out of gas in the area of the intersection of Kearns Boulevard and Woodbine Way at 3:47 p.m. The vehicle was blocking the flow of traffic, the police said.
The police were told of yelling and loud music at a location along Lowell Avenue at 12:27 a.m. The department logged the case as suspected disturbing the peace.
On Friday, Oct. 21 at 11:08 p.m., someone on Monitor Drive reported “weird things are going on.” Public police logs did not provide details. The police described the circumstances as suspicious.
Two people at 10:08 p.m. were reported to be in a pool on Deer Valley Drive. They were not guests of the property, the police were told. The department classified the case as suspected trespassing.
Someone at 5:17 p.m. reported losing a wallet, likely in a Lowell Avenue parking lot. The wallet was lost 30 minutes prior to the person contacting the police.
On Thursday, Oct. 20 at 7:15 p.m., a hit-and-run traffic accident was reported in the area of the intersection of Kearns Boulevard and Park Avenue. Public police logs did not provide details.
The Police Department at 12:27 p.m. received a report about “a bunch of liquid” spilling from a Dumpster on Ontario Avenue. The person who contacted the police was worried “because the liquid is running all down the street,” according to department logs. The logs did not provide details about the liquid.
The police at 2:37 a.m. received a report of loud music at a Main Street building for longer than three hours. The case was logged as suspected disturbing the peace.
On Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 10:36 p.m., a suspected drunken driving case was reported. Public police logs did not provide details.
A man, described as homeless, was reported to be sleeping in a lobby of a Woodside Avenue building. The police classified the case as suspected vagrancy.
On Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 4:33 p.m., the police received a report of heavy machinery hitting a power line on Mountain Ride Court. An electrical box was smoking and power needed to be turned off, according to public police logs.
The police at 12:32 p.m. received a report of an excavator striking a vehicle on Ontario Avenue. The police said the “excavator drove by real tight fit and scratched up” the other vehicle, according to department logs.
A police officer at 11:19 a.m. stopped a bicyclist after watching the person not stop at a red light at a crosswalk on Snow Creek Drive. The officer “educated cyclist on laws regarding bicycle operation,” the police said.
The police at 10:17 a.m. received a report of a bicycle that was left on a Kearns Boulevard lawn.
On Monday, Oct. 17 at 4:21 p.m., the police received a complaint that surveying equipment had been run over on Ontario Avenue.
At 12:21 p.m., a bucket of nails was reported to be spilled on the road in the area of the intersection of Bonanza Drive and Prospector Avenue.
Graffiti was reported in a restroom at City Park at 8:43 a.m. Public police logs did not provide details about the graffiti.
