A 22-year-old man sustained non-life threatening injuries Friday when he was injured by a skid steer while unloading trees in the Snyderville Basin, according to the Summit County Sheriff’s Report.
The man, who is not a resident of Summit County, was transported in an ambulance with non-life threatening injuries to Park City Medical Center.
Deputies were dispatched Friday morning to Parley’s Lane after receiving a report of an industrial accident. No further details about the accident were available.
The Utah Occupational Safety and Health Administration was notified of the incident.
According to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to numerous other calls between Monday, Aug. 17, and Saturday, Aug. 22, including the following:
Saturday, Aug. 22
Deputies were dispatched to a South Summit residence after a woman claimed a man was threatening her.
A traffic stop was made on a vehicle for numerous traffic violations. Deputies conducted field sobriety tests and the driver was not able to perform them. He was arrested for driving under the influence.
A stolen tan 2002 Ford Explorer was located in a dirt parking lot near Kimball Junction.
Friday, Aug. 21
Deputies responded to a domestic violence incident at a Basin-area residence involving a man and a woman. The county attorney’s office will screen charges against the man for assault.
Deputies responded a disorderly and intoxicated woman in North Summit. She was arrested for public intoxication.
Deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in South Summit. Deputies found a woman sleeping in the backseat of the car. She was arrested for several active warrants and preliminarily charged with receiving stolen property and using license plates that are registered to another vehicle.
An unknown suspect gained access into two construction trailers by cutting the locks and stole several thousand dollars worth of power tools.
Employees at a Basin-area business have reported seeing a woman with blonde hair, wrapped in a blanket, hiding in the bushes.
While conducting a traffic stop on a car in South Summit, deputies discovered the driver had an active warrant and a suspended license. He was transported and booked into the Summit County Jail.
Thursday, Aug. 20
A woman who lost her purse and had her credit cards used at a Kimball Junction area business.
Deputies were dispatched to a domestic violence incident involving a man and a woman at a Basin-area residence. Both suspects were separated and during the investigation no probable cause was found to arrest either person.
A North Summit man was arrested for violating a protective order.
A South Summit resident reported two men riding their bikes slowly past his house. The men were located in Oakley. One of the men had an active warrant and he was arrested.
An unknown suspect broke the window of a car parked in a Basin-area neighborhood.
After leaving his garage door open overnight, unknown suspects entered a Basin-area man’s home and stole a Craftsman wrench and DeWalt power tool sets.
Tuesday, Aug. 18
A woman with two small children was caught putting two shirts into her purse without paying for them at a Kimball Junction area business. She was cited and released.
Two men were seen putting items in a backpack at a Kimball Junction area business. The suspects were trying to leave the store without paying for the items when a store employee attempted to stop them. The suspects then fled on foot, but were not located. The case will be closed due to lack of information.
Deputies responded to a domestic violence incident in North Summit. The woman was transported by ambulance to Mcday-Dee Hospital for treatment. The man refused medical attention. Both suspects received citations.
Monday, Aug. 17
Following a traffic stop on Interstate 80, a driver was arrested for driving on a suspended license and failure to install an ignition interlock device. Drug paraphernalia was found in the car, along with user amounts of a drug suspected to be cocaine.
A man contacted dispatch seeking a case number of a past-occurred theft of his water trampoline in North Summit in order to file an insurance claim. The trampoline was stolen on Aug. 9.
