Two men were arrested on two separate occasions last week for assaulting a peace officer, according to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office daily call logs.
Tuesday, a convenience store employee reported to dispatch an intoxicated mail was causing damage inside the store near Silver Summit and was claiming to be a police officer, according to the daily logs.
The report stated deputies stopped the suspect in his vehicle as he left the store and detected the smell of alcohol. They also located several stolen items from inside the store in the suspect’s vehicle.
During the arrest, the man head-butted one deputy and spit in the face of another. He was arrested and booked into the Summit County Jail on preliminary charges of driving while on an alcohol restriction, two charges of assault on a peace officer, intoxication, retail theft, and interference.
Friday, a man was arrested at a North Snyderville Basin residence after a woman reported the suspect pushed her and then held her down.
Deputies responded to the home and the man claimed “nothing had happened,” according to the report.
When deputies went to arrest the suspect, he head-butted one deputy causing minor injury to the deputy’s eye.
The suspect was arrested on preliminary charges of assault, criminal mischief, unlawful detention, and assault on a peace officer.

Monday, March 16
Two unknown women were reported for theft of services by a Kimball Junction business. The women were described as being approximately 18 years old, white, and tall. One of the women had blonde hair and one had dark hair. Deputies checked the area but were unable to locate the suspects.
After deputies stopped a vehicle heading westbound on Interstate 80, the driver was arrested for an active warrant for assault out of the Wasatch County. He was released to a Wasatch County Deputy.
Sunday, March 15
A motorcyclist was struck by a sedan in Kimball Junction. The driver of the motorcycle was transported to a local hospital by the Park City Fire District with a possible broken leg.
Deputies were dispatched to a business in the Snyderville Basin after receiving reports of a theft.
Saturday, March 14
Multiple North Summit residents reported hearing what they believed to be three to eight gun shots coming from a small, two-door white car with black rims. One resident reported seeing the suspect’s vehicle and reported the occupants were holding what appeared to be fireworks.
Deputies responded to a North Snyderville Basin residence after a K9 unit led them to the home following reports of a burglary on Friday, March 13. A woman reported a male in his twenties, described as white, tall and lanky, and with a mustache, had pounded on her front door at approximately 2 a.m. Her husband described seeing him with a white and black medium-sized shaggy dog.
Friday, March 13
A North Snyderville Basin home owner reported a male had tried to break into his house during the night. The homeowner described the suspect as wearing a plaid jacket and a ball cap. He also reportedly had a dog with him. Deputies searched the area and were led by the K9 unit to a nearby residence, but no one answered the door.
Thursday, March 12
Deputies responded to reports of a domestic violence incident in the South Snyderville Basin. One woman was arrested and booked on preliminary charges of domestic violence and intoxication.
A man, who was fired from a job site in the South Snyderville Basin, reported he was pushed by his former boss. Deputies responded to St. Marks Hospital Emergency Room to take photos and collect a statement.
Tuesday, March 10
A woman reported $126 and a prescription bottle missing from her home near the Tanger Outlets.
A Kimball Junction store reported a woman brought in a computer and two cell phones that contained child pornography. The suspect gave a fake name and fake address.
A North Summit property owner reported a person had moved a camper onto his property and was living there without his permission. The occupant was contacted and agreed to move the trailer immediately.
A North Snyderville Basin business reported that an unknown suspect stole $2,000 worth of equipment. No evidence was found at the scene and no suspects were identified.
A South Summit woman was arrested for domestic violence assault after an argument turned physical. The woman reportedly struck the victim in the back with an unidentified object, causing a four-inch wound.

A man was arrested in Park City and booked into the Summit County Jail after getting into a physical altercation.
