The Park City Police Department last weekend received at least three complaints about issues involving trucks or heavy machinery along Main Street.

Main Street was busy over the weekend as crews were preparing for the opening of the Sundance Film Festival this week. There were crews seen building temporary tents and other structures for the festival, among other work in preparation for Sundance.

It was not clear from public police logs whether the reports involved preparations for the festival.

The reports included:

  • on Sunday, Jan. 18 at 5:36 a.m., a semi-truck and trailer were reported to be idling on the 900 block of Main Street. The driver agreed to move the vehicle until after 7 a.m. The Police Department classified the case as an issue for City Hall’s code enforcers.
  • on Jan. 18 at 12:22 a.m., a truck and machinery parked on Main Street were reported to be making loud noise. The police logged the case as disturbing the peace.
  • on Saturday, Jan. 17, forklift was reportedly parked perpendicularly in a lane of traffic along the 800 block of Main Street at 5:29 p.m.

    There is expected to be more preparation work on Main Street on Wednesday and Thursday.
