Friends of Animals, a local nonprofit animal-rescue organization, is looking for a new director of operations for its storefront adoption center, Furburbia, located at the Tanger Outlets in Park City.
That position had been long-occupied by Cathy Clark, who had been with the organization for over nine years.
“Cathy Clark resigned of her own accord,” Friends of Animals President Kathleen Toth confirmed Friday.
Clark confirmed that she resigned on Sept. 21, but declined to comment further.
After two years serving on the organization’s board of directors, Toth took over as president in September. She hopes to fill the director of operations role soon.
“We’ve advertised for it and we’ve received some resumes and we’ve done some interviews and so we’re currently looking to fill that position with someone who can provide excellent care to the animals and great customer service to our customers,” she said.
Will this change affect any of Friends of Animals’ operations?
“No, I think, as a board and an organization, we’re more committed to our mission than ever before,” Toth said.
