When the Historic Park City Alliance throws its annual Halloween on Main event, there will be some added attractions thanks to the second annual Halloween Extravaganza, organized by Lilly Campos.
Campos presented the first extravaganza at Treasure Mountain Inn last year and wanted to expand things onto Main Street this year.
“We are going to start off with a candy rain from the Treasure Mountain Inn balcony at 3 p.m. and then have a mob dance to Michael Jackson’s song ‘Thriller’ at 5 p.m. and we’ll stream the dance all over the world,” Campos told The Park Record.
In addition, while children trick-or-treat at the Main Street businesses, the Halloween Extravaganza will provide some entertainers at the stops.
“We’re going to have musicians and other performers — it won’t just be candy and treats,” Campos said.
After the kids finish trick-or-treating, the Halloween Extravaganza party opens to adults and moves to Lindzee O’Michaels, where there will be drawings and prizes and some winter sports and Halloween video premieres.
“After that, the adults will get their time to go trick-or-treating in what we are calling the adult Main Street Trick Walk that will run from Lindzee O’Michaels all the way up to the Star Bar,” Campos said.
During the party Campos will hold an opportunity drawing for her volunteers.
“We’ll hand out prizes that were designed by local designer Aron Christensen,” Campos said. “When we get to the Star Bar, we’ll have a special party for all of the adults and we’re planning to have a DJ set up at Miners Park to entertain us while we’re walking up the street.
“I think it will be beyond entertaining,” she said. “We need to have more events here. I’m from Los Angeles, and we have a lot of fun things there.”
