Superintendent search completed

According to a press release from the Park City School District, the initial phase of the district’s superintendent search has been completed. A committee consisting of community members, parents, teachers, classified employees and administrators narrowed the field from the initial application pool and provided a list of candidates to the School Board for further consideration. The board is reviewing those applicants and is scheduled to decide on the finalists this week. Finalists will be invited to Park City for additional activities, meetings and interviews prior to the end of the month. The board anticipates the appointment of the superintendent will be announced in June with a specific date to be determined.

Local graduates from Citadel

Parkite, Cassie Palmacci, graduated May 4, from The Citadel, Military College of South Carolina. Palmacci, a member of the S.C. Corps of Cadets, earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education. Gen. Correction:

A photo on the cover of Saturday’s publication misidentified a student competing in The Park Record Spelling Bee. The student photographed crossing his fingers is Samuel Chiazzese from McPolin Elementary, not Tanner Iacabazzi from Trailside Elementary.
