The Washington School House Hotel was honored at a Park City Council meeting last week for an extensive renovation in 2011 that was later selected for the city’s Historic Preservation Award.
Jessica Davis, who is the general manager, and the on-site superintendent, Rob Schoon, appeared on behalf of the historic Old Town hotel. City Councilman Alex Butwinski, who ran the meeting in the absence of Mayor Dana Williams, greeted them.
A painting by Park City artist Jan Perkins was presented at the meeting. It will hang at City Hall.
The Washington School House Hotel was named the winner of the annual award in late 2012. It was the second Historic Preservation Award. The first went to High West Distillery.
