Got good grades? Score free seats to the pop-rock festivities as The All-American Rejects and EVE 6 take the stage, Aug. 12 at Deer Valley Resort’s Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater. Summit County students (grades 9 through 12) can show off their academic achievements – a 3.5 grade point average or higher – in order to receive a free lawn seat to the show.
"Part of our mission at Park City Performing Arts Foundation is to introduce young people to the arts," said PCPAF executive director Teri Orr. "We’re proud of our hard-working local students and this is our way of celebrating their academic successes while nudging them to unplug for a moment and to experience the incredible feeling of taking in a live show – one that happens to feature two bands that launched to the top of the charts when they were high school students themselves."
In order to receive a free, general admission lawn ticket to the August 12 concert, each student must present his or her photo student ID and 2011-2012 report card (for any grading period during the past year), which shows his or her 3.5 GPA (or higher) achievement. The box office is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Mega Genius Supply Store and IQ HQ on Swede Alley (435-655-3114) through Friday, August 10. The honors student ticket giveaway is not available day of show. Only one free lawn ticket is available per student.
General Ticket Information: Lawn ($35) and reserved ($45, $55 & $65) tickets as well as summer season punch cards are available at the Box Office at The Mega Genius Supply Store and IQ HQ (436 Swede Alley, Park City), via phone at 435-655-3114 or online at www.ecclescenter.org. Lawn tickets are also available at Deer Valley Signatures & Etc. stores (call 435-649-1000 for store hours), Whole Foods Market (Park City) and The King’s English Bookshop (1511 South 1500 East, Salt Lake City). Discounted tickets are available for children (under age 16) as well as seniors (age 62 and older).
Gates open 90-minutes before show time. A nine-inch chair height restriction (i.e. you shouldn’t be able to roll a basketball under the seat) is enforced. Concerts will be held rain or shine.
