A man stabbed a coworker Saturday night just outside a Park City restaurant and then eluded a police dragnet in Prospector, the Park City Police Department said.
The police were called to the scene at 11:15 p.m. Phil Kirk, a police captain, said the two work at a restaurant on Bonanza Drive. Kirk said the two got into an argument at the restaurant. Details about the argument were not available.
The two exited the restaurant and one of the men stabbed the other, Kirk said. The police were not sure what sort of object was used.
Kirk said the man suffered a “pretty serious injury” to one side of his chest. An ambulance took him to Park City Medical Center. The police did not provide details about the man’s condition and Kirk was not sure if he remained hospitalized Monday morning.
The victim is 26 years old. The suspect is 27 years old. The police did not release either of the names.
Police officers tried to arrest the suspect at his home address and where associates of his live, but the officers did not find the man. The police found his vehicle in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Prospector, Kirk said.
“We’re very anxious to arrest him,” he said.
