A man found a bicycle manufactured by Specialized in a Dumpster in Old Town on Sept. 19, but it is not the one that was reported missing earlier in the month, the Park City Police Department said.
The police received the report of the bicycle being found at 5:56 p.m. from the 800 block of Main Street, close to the location of the Town Lift. The bicycle is yellow and black in color. The person who contacted the police was concerned it might have been stolen.
The discovery on Sept. 19 followed nine days after a Specialized bicycle was reportedly taken from behind a hotel. That case involved a bicycle that is black and orange in color. The bicycle was taken in the overnight hours, the police were told.
In another recent case, a mountain bike manufactured by Scott was reportedly taken from outside a restaurant on the 1800 block of Bonanza Drive.
