A person riding a longboard-style skateboard on a pathway crashed into a woman in mid-August, leaving the Salt Lake City woman with minor injuries, the Park City Police Department said.
The police received the report at 4:44 p.m. on Aug. 15, but the accident occurred at an unknown time before the report to the Police Department.
Phil Kirk, a police captain, said the woman was walking north along the Poison Creek pathway with a few other people. The longboard rider blindsided the woman, Kirk said. It was not clear which direction the rider hit her from.
The rider was a man in his late teens or early 20s, Kirk said. The Police Department was unsure where the rider is from. The woman, whose age was not known, told the police the man apologized afterward.
The woman suffered cuts to at least one of her knees and minor swelling, Kirk said. The Police Department did not have information about the location of the swelling. The woman declined medical attention, Kirk said. She declined to press charges against the rider.
