Someone might have been spotted camping close to a trail in the Snow Creek area, the Park City Police Department was told, a practice that is outlawed inside the city.
The Police Department at 8:23 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 7 received a complaint from the vicinity. The person told the police they were walking on a trail between the Snow Creek Cottages and Snow Creek Plaza and came across a man. The man was singing and there were beer bottles strewn at the site, the police were told.
Public police logs did not provide details. People are not allowed to camp inside the Park City limits.
Meanwhile, in an unrelated case, the police on Thursday, Aug. 4, checked a vacant house on Park Avenue for transients. None were found and there were no signs someone was living in the house, the police said.
