A Park City police officer last week briefly questioned the driver of an ice-cream truck after the Police Department received a complaint from someone who was worried the truck was operating in a suspicious manner.
According to the police, dispatchers received a complaint at 7:46 p.m. on Oct. 22 reporting that someone was driving the ice-cream truck on the 1900 block of Homestake Road, a street that connects Kearns Boulevard and Park Avenue.
The person who contacted the police said the truck appeared suspicious since the weather was bad and the truck passed by later at night than the person would have anticipated, the Police Department said.
"They thought that was a little odd," Rick Ryan, a police captain, said.
An officer found the ice-cream truck in a parking lot. The person selling the ice cream was operating a legitimate business, Ryan said.
The driver told the police he was finished selling for the night.
