Summit County health officials plan to distribute about 500 H1N1 flu vaccines this week at clinics in Coalville and Kamas. About 400 injectable and 100 nasal-mist vaccines will be divided between the two health offices.
Anyone in the county is allowed to attend the clinics.
An injectable or nasal-mist vaccine will be available in limited quantities to all people ages 6 months to 24 years old, pregnant women and direct caregivers and parents of children under 6 months old, Summit County Health Department spokeswoman Katie Mullaly said in a telephone interview Tuesday.
The nasal mist is not recommended for women who are pregnant.
On Wednesday, the free swine-flu vaccines will be administered at the Summit County Health Department at 110 N. Main in Kamas at 8 a.m. The vaccines will also be distributed to patients on Thursday at 1 p.m. at 85 N. 50 East in Coalville.
Next week a clinic will be scheduled in the Park City area, Mullaly said.
