Investigators believe the remains belong to a European man who was between 45 and 50 years old. But some aren’t sure when he died.
In March 2007, a construction crew unearthed the bones near Kimball Junction. They were buried again on Tuesday at the Coalville Cemetery, according to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office.
A worker was excavating near Glenwild Drive almost two years ago when the bones were spotted. They reportedly included a skull, mandible and pelvis. There was no clothing or casket at the scene, investigators said.
The burial plot for Tuesday’s ceremony was donated by Coalville city.
Summit County Sheriff Dave Edmunds said he does not suspect foul play was involved in the man’s death.
