The Little Kate Road-Lucky John Drive intersection is closed this week as workers build a sidewalk.
A sidewalk will be built on the north side of Little Kate Road from Holiday Ranch Loop Road to Lucky John Drive.
Meanwhile, a second stretch of sidewalk, on Lucky John Drive between the Little Kate Road intersection and the school drop-off zone, will be built as well.
The Little Kate Road-Monitor Drive intersection will be closed intermittently between Sept. 9 and Sept. 22 for the work.
The intersections will also be redesigned to make them safer for pedestrians and bicyclists. Work is scheduled to be finished by Oct. 15.
The intersections are close to the Park City School District campus off Kearns Boulevard, and the neighborhood streets are heavily used by students heading to and from school.
Funds from a voter-authorized bond are being used for the work. The bond funds are expected to pay for numerous upgrades across Park City in an effort to provide safer routes for pedestrians and bicyclists.
City Hall officials are urging people to “budget a few extra minutes in travel times,” according to a release from the local government.
