An 18-year-old woman from Park City died in Kentucky on Sunday after a driver struck her while she was crossing a street, the authorities in Lexington, Ky., said.
Connie Blount was a freshman at the University of Kentucky. She graduated from Park City High School in April 2007.
The police in Lexington said Blount was walking across a street when a vehicle, described as a Chevrolet pickup truck, hit her. She died at a trauma center. The vehicle hit her near downtown and close to the university’s basketball arena.
A Lexington police investigator said Monday afternoon he has a "person I am looking at." The person lives in the Lexington area, but Scott Lynch, a police officer in Lexington, declined to offer details.
