Three people survived Saturday when their boat capsized in frigid water at Strawberry reservoir in Wasatch County.

One member of the group reportedly called 911 when the boat filled with water around 7 a.m. Salt Lake County residents Nathan Van Derkinden, 31, Chris Kinder, 36, and Austin Kinder, 9, were unharmed, according to officials at the Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office. They were reportedly treated by paramedics at the reservoir and released.

The three were reportedly standing on the capsized boat when rescuers reached them in boats and personal watercraft.

Before the end of the year the Summit County Commission is slated to appoint two people to serve on the Summit County Board of Adjustment.

“It’s a very important post,” Summit County Community Development Director Nora Shepard said.

Seats on the board currently filled by Randy Favero and Alison Pitt will expire in 2007. The two incumbents could opt to reapply.
