The Kimball Art Center’s newest exhibition, the Wasatch Back Student Art Show, will open today, Saturday, April 29, in the Kimball’s Main and Garage galleries. Featuring artwork from Summit and Wasatch county students in kindergarten through 12th grades, the show will begin with a reception today from 1-3 p.m. at the art center.
In conjunction with the show, an exhibition from the Visual Arts Institute in Salt Lake City will show in the Badami Gallery, featuring artwork from students preparing art portfolios for college.

History Book Club meeting is May 9
The Park City History Book Club will discuss “Clash of Civilizations and the Remaking of World Order,” by Harvard professor and former presidential advisor Samuel P. Huntington on Tuesday, May 9, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Park City Library.
Written before 9/11, the book takes a tough-minded point of view toward Islam and the West. Copies can be obtained from the Park City Library, the Summit County Library or area bookstores. For more information about the club, call 615-5600.
Graham Russell, Treat Williams, Rich Wyman, NAC team up to help Arts-Kids
Saturday, June 3 at 7:30 p.m. Rich Wyman; the D.O.B. Band, featuring actor Treat Williams and Air Supply’s Graham Russell, and the National Ability Center will join to host the Barn Soiree, a concert to benefit Arts-Kids and provide scholarships to send Park City’s underprivileged children to local summer camps.
