Snow flurries at the end of March kept officers in Summit County busy with a slew of traffic accidents. Most of the crashes, however, did not result in serious injuries.
Calls received last month by Summit County Sheriff’s Office dispatchers included:
No injuries were reported as a result of a traffic crash reported to the Sheriff’s Office on March 20 at 5:12 a.m.
No injuries were reported as a result of a traffic accident that involved two pickup trucks in Kamas on March 20 at 9:35 a.m.
Two vehicles were reportedly racing on Interstate 80 near Coalville on March 20 at 12:23 p.m.
On March 20, no injuries were reported as a result of a traffic crash that involved two vehicles in Silver Creek at 4:08 p.m.
A Ranch Place woman reported no injuries as a result of a traffic crash that occurred in western Summit County on March 21 at 6:53 a.m.
On March 21, an Ohio man told a dispatcher his car was vandalized while parked in western Summit County.
A woman reportedly locked a baby inside an Acura in Summit County on March 21 at 11:56 a.m.
No injuries were reported as a result of a traffic crash reported to the Sheriff’s Office from a parking lot at Kimball Junction on March 21 at 12:28 p.m.
On March 21, a Layton man claimed his credit card had been used fraudulently several times in Summit County.
A Snyderville woman reported a case of check fraud to the Sheriff’s Office on March 21 at 1:49 p.m.
A man on Boulderville Road in Oakley complained to the Sheriff’s Office March 21 about his neighbor’s band playing music too loud.
A vehicle was allegedly burglarized while parked at a hotel at The Canyons on March 21 at 10:18 p.m.
A domestic dispute was reported to the Sheriff’s Office from South Summit on March 21 at 10:19 p.m.
On March 21, a deer was reportedly stuck in a fence near Hoytsville Road.
No injuries were reported as a result of a traffic crash that involved two vans in the Snyderville Basin on March 22 at 11:03 a.m.
A North Summit man reported a case of child abuse to the Sheriff’s Office on March 22 at 2:32 p.m.
No injuries were reported as a result of a traffic crash that involved a Chevrolet pickup truck and Toyota sport-utility vehicle in western Summit County on March 22 at 5:49 p.m.
A woman reported a hit-and-run traffic crash that allegedly occurred in a parking lot at Kimball Junction on March 22 at 7:36 p.m.
On March 22, a Heber man claimed his Jeep Wrangler was burglarized in Summit County.
A VCR was allegedly stolen when a pickup truck was burglarized on the West Side on March 23 at 9:26 a.m.
No injuries were reported when an unoccupied pickup truck reportedly rolled into a woman’s Volvo at Redstone Towne Center on March 23 at 1:19 p.m.
Deputies were called to break up a domestic dispute in Silver Springs on March 23. No injuries were reported.
A brush fire was reported to the Sheriff’s Office from a house on Chalk Creek Road near Coalville on March 23 at 4:41 p.m.
No injuries were reported when a van reportedly struck a Nissan Pathfinder in a parking lot at Kimball Junction on March 23 at 5:08 p.m.
On March 23, deputies responded to a fire that damaged a house in Pinebrook at 3:39 a.m.
On March 23, a Snyderville woman told a dispatcher several pairs of skis were stolen when her storage unit was burglarized in western Summit County.
A license plate was allegedly stolen off a car in Snyderville on March 24 at 6:22 p.m.
A Henefer man claimed he heard gunshots near his home on March 25 at 3:23 p.m.
On March 25, a Snyderville man reported a case of credit-card fraud to the Sheriff’s Office after about $10,000 worth of fraudulent transactions were made on his account.
A shoplifter was allegedly detained at a business in the Snyderville Basin on March 25 at 9:18 p.m.
No injuries were reported as a result of a traffic crash that involved two vehicles in the parking lot at Tanger Outlet Center on March 26 at 5:39 p.m.
No injuries were reported as a result of three hit-and-run traffic crashes reported to the Sheriff’s Office from a parking lot at Kimball Junction on March 27 at 1:09 a.m.
