Park City Library children’s programs next week
The Park City Library will host two special children’s events this coming week. On Monday, Jan. 9 at 4:30 p.m. the Kids’ Book Club will read “Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator” and create puppets. Throughout the year, the club will be reading and discussing books by Roald Dahl.
Then, on Saturday, Jan. 14 at 10 a.m., the library will host a family story time program, Baby It’s Cold Outside, a morning of stories, songs and a craft celebrating winter.
Children and parents of all ages are invited to attend both events, which are free and open to the public. For more information, call 615-5600.
Park City Motorcycle Club to hold meeting
While the winter doesn’t readily lend itself to a ride, the Park City Motorcycle Club will have a winter social get together on Thursday, Jan. 12 at 7 p.m. The event will be located in Nacho Mama’s on Sidewinder Drive in the Prospector Square Area.
Intermountain Hospice hosts benefit show
Friday, Jan. 27, at 7 p.m. Intermountain Hospice will host a special Big Band Celebration benefit concert in the Midway Town Hall. The concert will feature The Music Makers and big-band orchestra tunes from the 1920s, ’30s and ’40s. Admission to the show is free, but donations are welcome, all proceeds will support Intermountain Hospice’s efforts in Wasatch and Summit Counties.
Intermountain Hospice provides specialized care and support for the physical, emotionald and spiritual needs of terminally ill patients and their loved ones. Intermountain Hospice is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
