As someone who has served alongside Ryan for years, I know exactly what kind of leader he is. He is steady, respectful, thoughtful and deeply committed to Park City.
That’s why this election-season smear campaign against him is not just disappointing — it’s grotesque.
Ryan has consistently asked hard questions of developers, fought for real transit solutions, protected open space, and always put residents first. He is one of the few people who truly understands the full picture: land use, water, transportation, housing, history, and long-term community impact.
Here’s why I’m proud to support him for mayor:
- He honors our past and plans for our future. He respects the people who built this town and the vision that made Park City the place we all love today.
- He has built trusted relationships across the Wasatch Back — something that would take a decade to replicate.
- He can hit the ground running. It takes at least a year to understand the complexity of city government, and Ryan already knows it inside and out.
- He is trusted and respected by our city team. That mutual trust is crucial because government only works efficiently when the team can operate at their most creative and high-performing level.
- He does not support a massive Dakota-Pacific style development at Richardson Flat. Like me, he respects the density exchange that allowed Empire Pass and the Montage to be built. In return, that land was meant to remain open space and recreation.
- He listens to all sides, weighs facts carefully, and makes informed decisions without hidden agendas.
- He cares about residents and the workforce, and finds ways for both to coexist and thrive.
- He understands government is not a corporation — you can’t and shouldn’t run it like one — but he still brings valuable business experience and strategic thinking.
- He is building a legacy, not a platform. He is focused on the next generation, not on self-promotion or politics.
Park City deserves leaders with heart, experience, and respect — people who elevate rather than divide.
That’s Ryan. And that’s why I’m voting for him.
