Starting Pitcher Jakob de Vries was on the bump into the the 6th inning and notched two strikeouts, no base on balls and allowed one earned run.
The Miners boys baseball squad fell in the first game of playoff bracket play Monday afternoon, losing to Timpanogos 3-2.
Park City conceded one run in both the third and fifth innings, yet clawed back in the seventh scoring two of their own. They conceded a walkoff shot to center field in the bottom half of the seventh.
The Miners are now on the brink of playoff elimination in the double-elimination bracket play. They’ll take on Crimson Cliffs Tuesday at 11 a.m., again at Salt Lake Community College. Crimson Cliffs fell 3-2 to Snow Canyon Monday.

Right fielder Lars Ence makes a valiant dive for this long fly ball but couldn’t make the catch. The Timpanogos Wolves scored the go-ahead run on this play for the 3-2 victory.
