Are you kidding me? Summit County wants us to approve $150 million for a climbing wall facility and aquatic center?
I would like to know how many county residents will actually use these facilities that all of us will have to pay for. Oh, it is only an extra $200 per year on your property taxes if you have a $700,000 house. Most housing in Summit County is appraised a lot higher than that!
If there are residents that want climbing walls and Olympic size pools maybe they should let the private sector build them and those that use them could pay for them.
Summit County Recreation is going to have a tough time selling this proposal.
