I have hiked in Round Valley for almost 30 years. I have never seen erosion or mud like this.
My friend and I took the time to walk around the mud. We didn’t die. But the poopydumbheads on their bikes rode right through it. I was going to say “schmuck,” but my friend and I decided that was a bad idea as I have to sign my name to this epistle.
It is a simple task to get off your bike and walk a few feet. Ruts further up the trail were 4 inches deep. Doing this degrades the trails for everyone, including future cyclists.
