The Park City Police Department in late July received a report about items associated with squatting in the area of a trailhead.
The case was logged on Friday, July 26, at 12:08 p.m. on Crescent Road. The police were told of a person who may have been “squatting right next to the trailhead.” There was a tent, a fire pit and hammock, the police were told.

On Sunday, July 28, at 10:42 p.m., a suspected drunken driving case was reported in the area of the intersection of Park Avenue and Kearns Boulevard. Public police logs did not provide details.
A metal rod was reported to be in a turning lane at the intersection of Kearns Boulevard and Comstock Drive at 11:21 a.m. The police said the rod created a traffic hazard.
On Saturday, July 27, at 9:33 p.m., the police received a report of someone possibly entering a Daly Avenue residence. The person apparently opened a refrigerator and went into a bedroom, the police were told. The police classified the case as suspected trespassing.
A machete was reportedly seen on a table at City Park at 10:40 a.m. The police described the circumstances as suspicious.
On Friday, July 26, at 8:46 p.m., an employee of a business on Snow Creek Drive contacted the Police Department reporting unspecified items were taken. There was surveillance footage of the incident, the police were told. The items were reportedly taken in the 6 p.m. hour. The police logged the case as a suspected theft.
The Police Department at 8:05 p.m. received a report of motorcycles traveling at 100 mph and “weaving in and out of lanes” on S.R. 224.
Someone on Sunny Slopes Drive contacted the police at 10:26 a.m. indicating golf course work started at 4:20 a.m. The person was “wondering what the law is for starting this early,” according to department logs. The police classified the report as a citizen complaint.
On Thursday, July 25, at 6:04 p.m., a police officer stopped at least one bicyclist after there were riders two abreast on or close to Holiday Ranch Loop Road. The police said the bicyclist impeded traffic.
Vehicles were reportedly at a traffic light at Kearns Boulevard and Round Valley Drive for up to 15 minutes They “have not been able to turn,” the police were told. The police described the case as a traffic hazard.
The police at 8:44 a.m. received a complaint about someone “flying a really large drone” in the area of the Park City School District campus on Kearns Boulevard. The department described the circumstances as suspicious.
On Wednesday, July 24, at 10:36 p.m., fireworks were reported in the area of Sullivan Road, a small street bordering City Park.
A “giant golf cart type vehicle” was reported on the Rail Trail. The police received the report at 7:28 a.m. but the vehicle was seen the night before.
On Tuesday, July 23, at 7:45 p.m., a vehicle not powered by electricity was reported to have been left at a charging station for vehicles that are electric. The case was reported somewhere along Park Avenue.
The police at 11:03 a.m. received a report of a bicycle falling off a rack several days before the agency was contacted. The bicycle may have been lost along Kearns Boulevard, the police were told.
On Monday, July 22, at 1:11 p.m., the Police Department received a call regarding a large moving truck toward the southern end of Daly Avenue that needed to back out of the street.
A mountain bike reportedly was stolen on Deer Valley Drive, with the police receiving the report at 1:07 p.m.
The police at 12:55 p.m. were told of construction workers reportedly leaving engines idling on American Saddler Drive. The department logged the case as a suspected violation of municipal rules against idling.
