Tuesday morning, Todd Ovard, the Utah Department of Transportation Kamas station’s supervisor, closed the gates on Mirror Lake Highway for the 2023-24 winter season.
S.R. 150 is now closed to vehicular traffic until late spring 2024. The scenic highway will soon become a favorite spot for snowmobilers and hikers. The closed gate is at the Soapstone Area Parking lot.
