The Autumn Aloft Hot Air Balloon event is returning to Park City after a 20-year hiatus, and the event needs volunteers and sponsors.
The balloon launches will take place on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 20 and 21, from 7 a.m. until 9 a.m. at the North 40 soccer fields (north of the Treasure Mountain Middle School).
An Evening Glow (a static display of lit-up balloons after sunset) is scheduled to take place in Park City’s Historic District on Saturday evening, Sept. 20, at 8 p.m.
There are many levels of sponsorships available that will showcase companies through event advertising, and many of them include balloon rides for sponsors and their staffs.
Volunteers are needed in parking management and, for the more physically fit, balloon inflation. Volunteers will receive doughnuts and a commemorative T-shirt.
